Update

So, I have some exciting news for you guys I am in New York!! I know what you're saying "you're always in New York", but really I'm here for good, (well not really for good but I am in college) so right now I am here for at least 3 months. Sooooo what does this mean? I don't really know to be honest. I am just her in the big apple the place where dreams are made of and I am trying to make my dreams come true. What does this mean for A.O.W? Well, right now we are not shooting considering my camera person is still in the DMV, but this does not mean it is over!!! lol. I am here making lots of connections some of them which you will see on the series soon, but I have one more episode for you that will be uploaded very soon. This will be the last episode for a little while. Sooo about my covers and videos!!!! Since I know you all are dying to see them (JK). I am finding places on campus where I feel comfortable playing my guitar and saying but also I am working on some scripts for some new videos! While I am here I will be working with new representation so stay tuned for that. All right guys I should be sleeping I have a class at 11 tomorrow. I AM OFFICIALLY A COLLEGE STUDENT YAAAAHHHH !!!

Victoria Vox and Katie Chambers interview

Hey,

Again I have to apologize for not posting in a while but my life right now is completely full of changes which I will elaborate on in the next post but for right now we are here to talk about the new episode of A.O.W. When I started A.O.W I really had an idea, that's all it was an idea. Now it is still an idea that is growing. The reason why I point this out is because I have no idea how far this going to go or if it will go any further. From the beginning until now A.O.W has always been independent. I'm not sure if you all know that but there is no big film crew or a great talent scout looking for new Artist it is all me and my copartner. I think it is really cool to say I have a professional camera because I worked all summer to get it. We have a theme song because one of my friends is amazing. By the grace of God all of this has come to pass. I know this sounds like a goodbye speech but it isn't because A.O.W is not ending. I just needed to draw a comparison to the Artist on this episode. Victoria Vox and Katie Chambers. Two people that I look up to greatly. A, because they have taken time to learn their craft. Ok, before I get messages on twitter about how you don't need to go to college to be a musician. Let me explain. No! You do not need to go to college to become a musician, but in my opinion you must want to know your craft. You must want to continue to learn and you should want to be the best at whatever you're doing. That's I would like to say that I had a great time interviewing them. I try to interview people that are at different levels in their career because I believe for you and me to become a better Artist you must listen and learn from all people whether they are extremely Successful or just starting out. Katie Chambers I think is a great example of who Art is what you do not who you are. She is  great classically trained Cellist a very serious instrument but in real life she is happy go lucky extremely out going person.Victoria Vox is someone that is someone I think that all young Artist should admire because of her tenacity and innovation she is really making an impact on music that not many people can say they have done even the most "successful", performers cannot always say they have changed music. When watching this interview just keep in mind everyone has a story and every deserves to be listened to.

Lenka interview!!!

Hey GUYS!!!

I am so excited to announce this episode of A.O.W which features someone that has influenced me so much. When I found out I had the chance to interview Lenka it just set me over the moon. I mean in her own way she has changed music in such a positive way and though she is not "Famous", I guess she is an artist that has made contributions to music that will never go away and that is what all artist strive for. I had such a great time talking to her and just enjoying her presence I also loved sitting in her soundcheck ( which you will see some clips from). My first vocal performance

Hey Guys,

On Saturday I stepped away from the safety of my webcam and performed in public for the first time this was a personal goal of mine and I am pretty excited about it. so here are some pictures and I will put the video at the bottom.

Being on set!!!!

So, yesterday guys I got a job being an extra in a short film which I know a lot of people look down upon but really it is a cool experience because
A. you get food
B. you get to meet new people
C. your on set.

Really, to be honest I'm not even sure if I'm in any of the shots because I wasn't just background I was background background but who knows until I see it. When people ask me I always tell them I do recommend extra work because it is a learning experience and it is always good to take what is given to you especially when you are just starting out, but really it is just good to explore every opportunity.

Ok, guys so my youtube channel is going to start exploding with videos more covers, and of course some other stupid stuff so don't forget to subscribe so you can be on the up and up.

A poem of Friendship Nikki Giovanni

I sometimes put up here things I really like and this poem was read at a wedding I catered with my job. I read it and instantly fell in love with it. I have never been in love but if I ever was I would have wanted it to feel like this and if I ever am I want it to feel like this. I think now in teen just in personal experience with friends and such we think that "Love", should be this way but we expect another way which is kind of interesting to me. My interview with Lewis Glenn interview

I haven't had time to really sit down and write a blog post but I have to tell you guys how I got to interview the great R& B singer Lewis Glenn. I can not say this enough but my trip to Canada was amazing and you all will probally hear more about m traveling there in the future (spoiler alert) :). Anyways, I got to meet so many people and one of them was Lewis Glenn. I wasn't planning to interview Mr. Glenn but when I got the opportunity I jumped at it because I mean when do you get that type of opportunity? Well, any ways here it is really listen to what he says because he really has some interesting points that have been really helpful to me and hopefully helpful to you.

Well, I had a great opportunity to go To Canada and interview this Awesome guy named Tommy PB. He was pretty awesome. Just take a time to contemplate the awesomeness...... okay I think You've got it. We really had some a great conversation we talked about the Canadian music industry and how the youth is really  changing music. And now I have trekked to Canada

Hey Guys,

So I'm not sure if I put this in one of my last post or not but I am now in Canada shooting two more episodes of A.O.W. After about 12 hours in the car and the nice woman at Canadian customs making a surprised look after I told her I came to Canada to interview a band, we made it. I will be interviewing the bands later on today and tomorrow but right now I have to get something to eat lol. I'm so hungry. I will announce who I am interviewing after I get the footage but you all should either follow me on twitter @micheladesnai , follow A.O.W on twitter @artistoftheworl or like my facebook page  here, because you never know which site is going to get the first picture or the first announcement, but anyway my loves I can hear my stomach growling and I just spent $8.00 on some nasty cookies so I will have to continue this post some other time. Hair tutorial gone wrong!!!

Omg, guys you all probally have seen this video but if you haven't here it is it is really funny, one because when she pulls the curler off her hair she is looking for her hair to be there UUUUh OMG I just can't, but what really pisses me off is that the video was uploaded by the original girl who obviously can laugh at herself because she uploaded it and then you have all of these people on youtube and facebook talking about "Dumb blonde", and calling her fat. Like is that completely necessary? This  girl she put herself out there and let you all laugh so don't bash her or put her down just laugh at it acknowledge that its something that happens so relax world spread laughter like she did not hatred.

Ok, so it's that time of year again and I know it's kind of late but I'm doing it now, and again I have to do this little disclaimer this is MY PERSONAL OPINION so don't message me saying"I disagree with this", your wrong, lol so here we go.

#1. Logic













He's number one because literally he is taking the rap game by storm many of you may not know who he is because he isn't "Mainstream", but he has a following that is sure to cary him the distance. This list is about the person that is going to make a huge impact this year and logic is sure to do that.


#2 Tori Kelly














Some of you may know her from American Idol and some of you may have seen her covers on Youtube but if you haven't in 2013 you definently will. Her EP "Homemade Songs", on Itunes, and her growing following on Youtube she really shows that talent and determination are the only things you need to get far in life and she is definently going far.

#3. Of Monsters and Men

You all probally know the bands song little talks but what you don't know is that their new album is full of hit songs. When I heard them on the radio I was shocked because I knew who they were long before then and then to hear their song playing on the radio I was like wow what is the world coming to that the radio is playing good music. In 2013 I predict they will continue to show the world what they can do and they can and will do a lot.


#4. Pierce the Veil

It's kind of hard to say that alternative bands will "Make it big", or "Make a big impact", because in general I think they have "made it big", or "made a big impact", to their fans at least but just by going against the grain and doing something that not everyone will like. I don't really know how this band popped up but I do know that they are doing some great things and they are amazing and I really feel like 2013 is their year and they are going to rock it like they have rocked stages all across this nation.

#5. Falling in Reverse

Yes, I had to do it. Falling in Revers is THE band that you need to know and in I think in 2013 they will continue to expand and grow their fan base but they really are just going to continue doing what their doing.

#6 Company of thieves

It's super cool that I get to put this band on this list because they actually were featured on my interview series. This band has the most unique sound and I know that they have been around for a while but really this year I can feel that they are going to just rule. Not only because they are good people but because they are great artist.

#7 Grace Potter and The Nocturnal Zeros

I know they have rocked years before but with their song stars on the radio now I just feel that they are gonna make this year their own like they have all the others.

#8 Slakadeliqs

Know mostly in Canada I guess the band is slowly but surely gaining ground but Just wait. Is all I have to say.

#9 Dark Dark Dark

They kind of are a band that you only hear every once in a while but you will hear them more this year I can assure you.

#10. Jay Alexzander
















A lot of you don't know who he is but a lot of you know who he is he really is coming up on youtube but his covers have been catching attention and is working on some projects on his own. He really is a talented young man and I hope to have him on my series one day, but in 2013 he will definently have a lot more fans.
