New Website

Hey guys!

I want to thank you all for following this blog for the last 4 years, but as my career has grown and the website has grown I have decided that Artist of the worlds needs its own official website. I will eventually get my own website as well but at this point in time I am not sure how much I will be adding to this blog. I will continue to update you on my career and through my fanpage and eventually my own website but I would officially like to keep my career and the webseries separate. Thank you all for the nearly 14,000 views I have gotten on this blog but it is now time to try and start something new. I hope you all will decide to follow me on my Facebook fan page and and will follow A.O.W to it's new home here. I hope you all are still following your dreams just like I am following mine.

Toni Romiti and the new phase in Artistry.

Have you heard of a girl named Toni Romiti? No. What about "Bish Whet?". Now you've got it. So, I was recently turned onto her from my cousin who is more in tuned to the underground hip hop world than I am. At first I was like who is this chick? I had never seen her vines, so I hadn't heard of her. Then I heard her song 'Nothing on Me' and I decided to research a little bit more. I realized that though she has a lot of fans she also has a lot of haters which to me is a good thing. These aren't Rebecca Black haters these are girls that are just jealous of her. Another thing that I realized is that she and many other young girls are capitalizing on their internet fame and their fans that attend the same grades they do. I feel like this is the new hip hop. No one listens to the radio anymore. The radio very rarely plays the music most young people are listening to. Well, most urban kids are listening to. A lot, of people say she really isn't an artist but in reality she most definitely is. You can judge her singing ability for yourself,  but let's look at it. She is a young women around the age of 19 or 20. Who doesn't have a whole team of people backing her, all she has are her fans, friends and family. But, for some reason it is working. Her video for 'Nothing on Me', has broken 1 million views and she is soon going on tour. Most girls her age (including me) are struggling to pay for college. The music industry should take note. This is the direction the industry is going. The power is no longer in the major labels. The power is in the smaller Artist with a good number of dedicated fans. Those are the Artist that are going to survive the inevitable decline of the music industry. This generation is slowly but surely taking their places as the new leaders in the world and I'm not sure this is the worst thing.

Hey guys!!!

As many of you know I am now a Freshman in college, yes, yes I know our time together has gone by so fast. I really have not been posting that much because to be honest I have been sooo busy lately it is really hard to keep up with this blog. Though I am happy to say that there will be some pretty awesome announcements coming in 2014 so please stay tuned!!! But until them I have a big favor to ask of you guys. I have been chosen to go to Jamaica and and help people!! I know sounds like a weird way to put it, but in reality it is not I will be helping disabled children in Jamaica but not only will I be helping them they also will be helping me. I am a strong believer in helping one another, listening to one another and if we help each other than we can do great things. I feel that's the only way to keep the world going. It's kind of crazy to think in only 50 days it will be spring break, but in those 50 days I need you all to do me a favor. Update

So, I have some exciting news for you guys I am in New York!! I know what you're saying "you're always in New York", but really I'm here for good, (well not really for good but I am in college) so right now I am here for at least 3 months. Sooooo what does this mean? I don't really know to be honest. I am just her in the big apple the place where dreams are made of and I am trying to make my dreams come true. What does this mean for A.O.W? Well, right now we are not shooting considering my camera person is still in the DMV, but this does not mean it is over!!! lol. I am here making lots of connections some of them which you will see on the series soon, but I have one more episode for you that will be uploaded very soon. This will be the last episode for a little while. Sooo about my covers and videos!!!! Since I know you all are dying to see them (JK). I am finding places on campus where I feel comfortable playing my guitar and saying but also I am working on some scripts for some new videos! While I am here I will be working with new representation so stay tuned for that. All right guys I should be sleeping I have a class at 11 tomorrow. I AM OFFICIALLY A COLLEGE STUDENT YAAAAHHHH !!!

Victoria Vox and Katie Chambers interview

Hey,

Again I have to apologize for not posting in a while but my life right now is completely full of changes which I will elaborate on in the next post but for right now we are here to talk about the new episode of A.O.W. When I started A.O.W I really had an idea, that's all it was an idea. Now it is still an idea that is growing. The reason why I point this out is because I have no idea how far this going to go or if it will go any further. From the beginning until now A.O.W has always been independent. I'm not sure if you all know that but there is no big film crew or a great talent scout looking for new Artist it is all me and my copartner. I think it is really cool to say I have a professional camera because I worked all summer to get it. We have a theme song because one of my friends is amazing. By the grace of God all of this has come to pass. I know this sounds like a goodbye speech but it isn't because A.O.W is not ending. I just needed to draw a comparison to the Artist on this episode. Victoria Vox and Katie Chambers. Two people that I look up to greatly. A, because they have taken time to learn their craft. Ok, before I get messages on twitter about how you don't need to go to college to be a musician. Let me explain. No! You do not need to go to college to become a musician, but in my opinion you must want to know your craft. You must want to continue to learn and you should want to be the best at whatever you're doing. That's I would like to say that I had a great time interviewing them. I try to interview people that are at different levels in their career because I believe for you and me to become a better Artist you must listen and learn from all people whether they are extremely Successful or just starting out. Katie Chambers I think is a great example of who Art is what you do not who you are. She is  great classically trained Cellist a very serious instrument but in real life she is happy go lucky extremely out going person.Victoria Vox is someone that is someone I think that all young Artist should admire because of her tenacity and innovation she is really making an impact on music that not many people can say they have done even the most "successful", performers cannot always say they have changed music. When watching this interview just keep in mind everyone has a story and every deserves to be listened to.

Lenka interview!!!

Hey GUYS!!!

I am so excited to announce this episode of A.O.W which features someone that has influenced me so much. When I found out I had the chance to interview Lenka it just set me over the moon. I mean in her own way she has changed music in such a positive way and though she is not "Famous", I guess she is an artist that has made contributions to music that will never go away and that is what all artist strive for. I had such a great time talking to her and just enjoying her presence I also loved sitting in her soundcheck ( which you will see some clips from). My first vocal performance

Hey Guys,

On Saturday I stepped away from the safety of my webcam and performed in public for the first time this was a personal goal of mine and I am pretty excited about it. so here are some pictures and I will put the video at the bottom.

Being on set!!!!

So, yesterday guys I got a job being an extra in a short film which I know a lot of people look down upon but really it is a cool experience because
A. you get food
B. you get to meet new people
C. your on set.

Really, to be honest I'm not even sure if I'm in any of the shots because I wasn't just background I was background background but who knows until I see it. When people ask me I always tell them I do recommend extra work because it is a learning experience and it is always good to take what is given to you especially when you are just starting out, but really it is just good to explore every opportunity.

Ok, guys so my youtube channel is going to start exploding with videos more covers, and of course some other stupid stuff so don't forget to subscribe so you can be on the up and up.

A poem of Friendship Nikki Giovanni

I sometimes put up here things I really like and this poem was read at a wedding I catered with my job. I read it and instantly fell in love with it. I have never been in love but if I ever was I would have wanted it to feel like this and if I ever am I want it to feel like this. I think now in teen just in personal experience with friends and such we think that "Love", should be this way but we expect another way which is kind of interesting to me. My interview with Lewis Glenn interview

I haven't had time to really sit down and write a blog post but I have to tell you guys how I got to interview the great R& B singer Lewis Glenn. I can not say this enough but my trip to Canada was amazing and you all will probally hear more about m traveling there in the future (spoiler alert) :). Anyways, I got to meet so many people and one of them was Lewis Glenn. I wasn't planning to interview Mr. Glenn but when I got the opportunity I jumped at it because I mean when do you get that type of opportunity? Well, any ways here it is really listen to what he says because he really has some interesting points that have been really helpful to me and hopefully helpful to you.

But any ways if you have been on my youtube account you will have seen that we have been kind of working over here at A.O.W. I mean we are on episode 16 which is kind crazy right? Well, I had a great opportunity to go To Canada and interview this Awesome guy named Tommy PB. He was pretty awesome. Just take a time to contemplate the awesomeness...... okay I think You've got it. We really had some a great conversation we talked about the Canadian music industry and how the youth is really  changing music. And now I have trekked to Canada

Hey Guys,

So I'm not sure if I put this in one of my last post or not but I am now in Canada shooting two more episodes of A.O.W. After about 12 hours in the car and the nice woman at Canadian customs making a surprised look after I told her I came to Canada to interview a band, we made it. I will be interviewing the bands later on today and tomorrow but right now I have to get something to eat lol. I'm so hungry. I will announce who I am interviewing after I get the footage but you all should either follow me on twitter @micheladesnai , follow A.O.W on twitter @artistoftheworl or like my facebook page  here, because you never know which site is going to get the first picture or the first announcement, but anyway my loves I can hear my stomach growling and I just spent $8.00 on some nasty cookies so I will have to continue this post some other time.
